IPAF

The IPAF training programme for platform operators was developed by leading industry professionals. It is certified by TÜV as conforming to the international standard ISO 18878 Mobile elevating work platforms – Operator (driver) training. More than 150,000 operators are trained each year through a worldwide network of training centres. Successful trainees receive a PAL Card (Powered Access Licence), a safety guide, a log book and a certificate.

IPAF 3A - SCISSOR LIFT

Our IPAF Operator (3A) Course delivers a minimum of 7 hours of instruction and is designed to instruct up to a maximum ratio of 6 delegates per instructor, providing training to prepare and safely operate Mobile Vertical (Scissorlift) in the workplace.

The IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) certification is an internationally recognised qualification for use of such machinery. More than 100,000 operators are trained each year through a worldwide network of training centers. As an approved training center, we are audited by IPAF annually. Training generally lasts one to two days and is a mixture of theory and practice.

IPAF 3B - CHERRY PICKER

IPAF 1B - STATIC BOOM

  • The IPAF 1b Operator category covers the safe use of Static Booms which generally have outriggers. Static Boom is an overall category name which includes Spider booms on tracks or wheels, Van-mounted booms, Truck-mounted booms or Trailer-mounted booms. Once the delegate successfully completes an IPAF practical test on one of the above types of boom with outriggers, they are permitted to operate the other types of Static Booms under the 1b category, subject to receiving familiarisation on the 1b machine being used.
